U <br />Reading School Committee 7. <br />Reading, Massachusetts <br />t„~u ls.~ t t <br />Regular Session Retreat August 12, 2006 <br />Call to Order <br />Chair Webb called the regular session to order at 8:11 p.m. in the Coolidge Middle <br />School Teacher's Room. Present were Mrs. Gibbs, Ms. Webb, Mr. Caruso, Mr. <br />Michaud. Also present were Superintendent Schettini, Assistant Superintendent Doherty <br />and Director of Human Resources and Finance Mary DeLai. <br />Bills and Payrolls <br />Bills and Payrolls were circulated for signature. <br />Citizen's Input <br />There was none. <br />Gifts <br />First Call Mortgage <br />Ms. Gibbs made a motion to accept a donation of $25,000 from First Call Mort2a2e <br />for the purchase and installation of the stadium lighting as outlined in the <br />Superintendent's memorandum dated August 10, 2006. Seconded Mr. Caruso. <br />Motion passed 4-0 <br />Calendar <br />Building Project Inspection-August 22"d, tentatively scheduled for 7:00 a.m. <br />August 24th-Building Project Update, 7:30 p.m. <br />August 30th-Meeting with Finance Committee, 7:30 p.m. <br />Liaison Reports <br />There were none. <br />Old Business <br />Energy Conservation <br />Ms. DeLai updated the committee on past energy consumption and future energy <br />conservation initiatives that will be implemented by both town and school buildings. <br />
