Regular Session -2- January 3, 2005 <br />New Business <br />Superintendent Schettini gave an overview of the FY06 Budget. <br />Mr. Hechenbleikner gave an overview of the projected revenues for FY06. <br />Mr. Foley went through the revenues line by line. <br />There was lengthy discussion on the increase cost and coverage of health insurance. <br />Mr. McFadden asked what the value of the Reading Municipal Light Department was. <br />Mr. Hechenbleikner told him the value was not known. The only way to determine the <br />true value is if you sold it. <br />There was discussion regarding naming rights for different locations as a means of <br />raising revenues. Superintendent Schettini stated that naming rights would not effect the <br />FY06 Budget. <br />Mr. Hechenbleikner suggested a two- percent increase in the budget might be a <br />reasonable increase. <br />Mr. Brown stated there was land across the street from the high school, which could be <br />sold to generate revenue. <br />Adjourn Finance Committee <br />Mr. Bolger moved to adiourn Mr. Robinson seconded the motion The vote was 8- <br />0.
