Town of Reading <br />16 Lowell Street <br />Reading, MA 01867-2683 R K <br />Phone: 781-942-9012 5 i <br />Fax: 781-942-9071 <br />Email: crielly@dreading.ma.us tCr' 11: <br />Community Planning and Development commission <br />CPDC MINUTES <br />Meeting Dated: Monday, July 14, 2003 <br />Members Present: Jonathan Barnes (JB), Chair; Richard Howard (RH), Neil Sullivan <br />(NS), Susan DeMatteo (SD), Commissioners <br />Also Present: Chris Reilly (CR), Town Planner; Joe Delaney (JD), Town Engineer. <br />The following minutes were approved with/without amendments or editions: <br />5.19.03 <br />The Chair called the meeting to order at 7:35 PM. <br />Staff Briefing: <br />Barrows Elementary School Expansion <br />CR went over the proposed conceptual plan on the Barrows Elementary School <br />expansion. The design consultant, Flansburgh, is at 25% design and there has <br />been 1 design review team meeting. <br />JD explained that the consultant wants CPDC comments before the School <br />Committee vote on the design; it is imperative that CPDC get involved even <br />though site plan review isn't required on Town facilities. <br />Walkers Brook Crossing <br />CR and JD updated the CPDC on progress at the site. <br />There have been some delays because of pile driving difficulties. <br />The PWED road improvements needed for the site are under construction. <br />Inwood-Woburn <br />JB asked about the status of the Inwood-Woburn zoning change; he wanted to <br />know if the residential use in Inwood would still allow for egress to the <br />Longwood PUD. <br />JD explained that there has to be a second means of egress no matter what goes <br />in there. <br />C\My Documents\CPDC\Agenda-M nutes\M nutes 7.14.03.doc <br />
