Dr. Milaschewski thanked the Extended Year <br />Program for thew work this summer. He visited Birch Meadow and Coolidge and was <br />able to see firsthand students learning and having fun in a vibrant and dynamic <br />environment. <br />Mrs. Nazzam reported: <br />- The ByLaw Committee meeting was scheduled for last week in conjunction with the <br />Rules Committee. The meeting was cancelled due to the lack of a quorum and will <br />be rescheduled for August. <br />- On Monday night the Board of library trustees committee met and discussed <br />meeting room policies, the virtual meeting room, library space planning, the Social <br />Justice position and trust funds. <br />- Permanent building committee met on Monday and discussed polices and walked <br />the library. <br />Mrs. Gatfen —No Report <br />Mr. Wise—No Report - <br />Ms. McLaughlin—No Report <br />Mr. Brandt—No Report <br />Mr. Robinson — No Report <br />D. New Business <br />Mr. Wise stated that the contract for the Teachers Association had been ratified and <br />explained what the finalized contract concluded. <br />Teachers: <br />Year 1: 2.25% <br />Year 2: 2.5% <br />Year 3: 2.5% <br />Mr. Wise stated the School Committee has agreed to daily elementary planning time, <br />additional special educator planning time and limiting the daily classes for specialist <br />teachers. They have agreed to dual licensure competency stipends for those with <br />licensure in both special education and general and a competency stipend for those <br />certified in Wilson or Orton Gillingham. They have updated terms for parent and <br />adoption leave and updated compensation and expectations for Department Heads at the <br />high school. They will be commencing a Joint Labor Management Committee meeting <br />on or around April 1, 2022 to research and assess the feasibility of adding M+15 and <br />M+45 to the salary schedule. <br />Mr. Wise reminded the Committee that Mr. LaLacheur will be voting on the ratification <br />as well as required by law. <br />Mr. Brandt moved, seconded by Mrs. Nazzaro to approve the collective bargainine <br />aereement between the Readine Teachers Association and the Reading School <br />Page 1 2 <br />
