Executive Session <br />A. Call to Order <br />Staff Members Present <br />Patrick A. Schettini, Jr. -Superintendent of Schools <br />John Doherty, Assistant Superintendent of Schools <br />Mary DeLai, Director of Human Resource and Finances <br />Chairperson Robinson called the Executive Session to order at 7:00 p.m.. Roll call order was <br />taken for all members. <br />1. Building Project <br />Ellen Doucette and Scott Dunlap updated the committee on the litigation involving TLT. <br />2. Negotiation Agreements <br />Superintendent Schettini explained the role of the Town Manager regarding collective bargaining <br />agreement negotiations and that the Town Manager votes on collective bargaining agreements. <br />Superintendent Schettini, Chairperson Robinson, and Committee Member Webb updated the <br />committee and Mr. Hechenbleikner on tentative negotiation agreements with the Teachers, <br />Custodians, Educational Assistants, and Secretaries. <br />Teachers Contract <br />The committee voted on a motion by Mr. Caruso, seconded by Mrs. Gibbs, to accept the <br />contract agreement with the Reading Teachers' Association as outlined in the <br />Superintendent's memorandum to the Reading School Committee dated June 16, 2008 with <br />the attached contract chances for the years September 1, 2008 through August 31, 2011. <br />Also, to further move to authorize the Chair to sign the contract on behalf of the <br />Committee and to handle any gft2i editorial corrections. Roll call vote approved 7-0. <br />
