READING HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />Minutes of the Regular Business Meeting_ November 21, ]988 <br />The Reading Housing Authority met in regular session on Monday, <br />November 21, 1988 at 6:30 P.M. at 22 Frank D. Tanner Drive in the <br />Town of Reading, Massachusetts. Notice of this meeting had bee <br />properly posted in accordance with the By -laws and the Open Meeting <br />Law. <br />The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Mr. Dempster. Those <br />members present and forming a quorum were: Ms. Carlson, Mr. Mc Isaac, <br />and Mr. Revnolds. The Executive Director, Ms. Plansky, was als <br />present for the meeting. <br />The Board observed a moment of silence in memory of Philip R. White, <br />Jr., a founding member of the Authority and devoted and longstanding <br />member and adviser. Board members recollected the many and varied <br />contributions that Mr.' White rendered not only to the Authority <br />but to the citizenry of Reading by his dedicated public service. <br />Mr. White's contributions were significant and he will be missed. <br />Minutes <br />The Board reviewed the minutes for September 19, 1988. The pre-, <br />scheduled Board meetings for October and November were not held <br />to illness and lack of quorum. Upon a motion duly made by Mr. l <br />and seconded by Mr. Mclsaac, it was unanimously <br />VOTED: To accept for the record the minutes of the meeting of <br />September 19, 1988 as distributed. <br />The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in <br />effect. <br />Finanr- Ps <br />The Board reviewed the Payroll <br />through check #1694 and upon a <br />seconded by Mr. Mclsaac, it was <br />iously <br />due <br />evnolds <br />and Bills Payable for the previo s months <br />motion duly made by Ms. Carlson nd <br />unanimously <br />VOTED: To approve and sign the billroll /payroll for the period <br />as presented. <br />The Chairman then declared said motion carried and said vote in <br />effect. <br />The Board reviewed the contract for painting the fence at the 6f <br />house at 74 Bancroft Avenue. The painting contractor proceeded <br />with the work on'the fence without prover authorization. The <br />Board felt that if the work was done in a satisfactory manner, <br />then the work should be approved and paid.
