MEETING CONVENED AT 7:00 P.M.

IN ATTENDANCE:

MR. RALPH A. COLORUSSO, MR. ROBERT I. NORDSTRAND,
MR. FRED A. MCGRANE AND MR. BILL BOATWRIGHT.
1. APPOINTMENTS': -NONE.
2. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING/S:
JULY 5, 2011- APPROVED 3-0 AS WRITTEN
3. TOWN APPRAISER'S REPORT:
MR. BOATWRIGHT BRIEFED' THE BOARD REGARDING
REGIONALIZATION INCENTIVES BEING OFFERED BY THE
COMMONWEALTH OF MASS.
MR. BOATWRIGHT BRIEFED THE BOARD ON THE STATUS
OF THE CONTRACT NEGOTIATIONS BETWEEN THE TOWN
AND PATRIOT PROPERTIES. A MEETING IS SCHEDULED TO
BE ARRANGED BETWEEN PATRIOT AND THE TOWN'S I.T.
PERSONNEL.
HE ALSO INFORMED THE BOARD THAT THE
CONSTRUCTION WHICH WOULD CONSOLIDATE THE TWO
OFFICES WILL NOW NOT OCCUR. HOWEVER, IT NOW
APPEARS THAT THE ASSESSORS OFFICE WILL BE
RELOCATED ACROSS THE HALL.

4. SIGNINGS: -WERE COMPLETED.
5. NEW BUSINESS:
THE BOARD SPENT AN EXTENSIVE AMOUNT OF TIME
DISCUSSING THE OVERLAY ACCOUNT AS PROMULGATED
BY INFORMATIONAL GUIDELINE RELEASE NO. 11-101
DATED JUNE 2011.
MR. COLORUSSO SUGGESTED THAT THE FINANCE
COMMITTEE AND/OR THE BOARD OF SELECTMEN APPOINT
A REPRESENTATIVE TO WORK WITH THE BOARD
OF ASSESSORS REGARDING THE BUDGET AND OVERLAY
PROCESS. THE BOARD FELT THAT THIS WAS AN
EXCELLENT IDEA.
IT WAS SUGGESTED THAT MR. NORDSTRAND ATTEMPT TO
MEET WITH THE TOWN ACCOUNTANT (GAIL LAPOINTE)
AND DISCUSS THE ISSUES OUTLINED IN THE
INFORMATIONAL GUIDELINE RELEASE.
