The meeting convened at 3:00 p.m. in the Arnold Berger Rc~~,i~ Lgw 11 trel

Massachusetts. Present were Selectmen Camille Anthony and Stephen Goldy, Town Manager
Peter Hechenbleikner, Rosemarie Murphy, Tina Ohlson, and Bill Keating.
Fall Street Faire Committee - The Committee interviewed Rosemarie Murphy and Tina Ohlson
for the Reading Fall Street Faire Committee. Tina Ohlson indicated that she will be coming off
the Conservation Commission on June 30, 2011.
On motion by Goldy seconded by Anthony the VASC recommends the following
appointments to the Fall Street Faire Committee:
• Rosemarie Murphy for a term expirinLy June 30, 2012
• Tina Ohlson for a term expiring June 30, 2013
The motion was approved by a vote of 2-0-0.
Community Planning and Development Commission - Bill Keating was interviewed. He is an
attorney on Gould Street in Reading. He deals with real estate conveyance, residential buyers
and sellers and similar issues. He deals with a couple of Reading brokers. There was discussion
on whether or not there would be potential conflicts of interest. It was agreed that Bill Keating
would send the Town Manager an email outlining the nature of his practice. The Town Manager
will then send that to Town Counsel for her review and that will provide guidance to the VASC
with regard to this matter.
Further, there is an additional candidate for CPDC who could not be present today. The VASC
will review that candidate as soon as possible and then make a recommendation.
On motion by Goldy seconded by Anthony the Volunteer Appointment Subcommittee voted to
adiourn at 4:10 n.m. by a vote of 2-0-0.
