Attendance: Karen Feeney, Leslie Raymond, Heather Tenney,
Linda Lydecker, and.7ane Merrill. Absent: Brian Snell
• Review of minutes from January's meeting N Reviewed
minutes Karen reported Dr. Rob Smith has not yet
responded with his preference for presentation date (3123
or 3130). Karen will email him again. We discussed publicity
for Dr. Smith's presentation and agreed Karen will notify
the other elementary principals who will take care of letting
their communities know. Regarding the winter weather
procedure: we discussed how our preference for the
students to be outside in the morning may have to wait a
while since there is so much snow. There isn't enough room
and the puddles couldget too big if melting is rapid.
• April's Blue Ribbon Conference - Joshua Eaton is a site visit-
what areas should be highlight, what would make the best
impression on visitors -Discussion included having 5t~ grade
ambassadors again, a parent group available to speak with
visitors, presentation by Karen, schedule of variety of
lessons with and without 5martgoard use. We also talked
about possibly having visitors adjust their own schedules
within a block. Example: 20 minutes to visit 4 rooms -
visitors could spend all 20 minutes in one classroom or split
the time between classrooms depending on their interest
Ambassadors would stay in a central location and monitor
time. This topic will also be brought up with Leadership
Committee for suggestions.
• Questions w Question arose regarding MCAS schedule and
whether it was affected by the snow days Karen reported
that our basic schedule is the same. The state added Z
extra days at the end which we may use for make-ups or
packing up materials
• Next meeting N March 28th
