W The purpose of this brief meeting was to review, approve and vote on amendments made to the Adopt-a-Trail Work Report. The Committee voted (4-0) to approve the amendments made to the Work Report. Voted to adjourn the meeting (4-0). Brush was cleared to maintain trail width and height Litter was found and removed Blazes were checked and are clear and consistent Sign at trail entrance is visible from street Rules for use of area are posted at entrance Trail map is posted at entrance Drainage controls (if any) were cleaned of leaves and brush Trail surface was cleared of obstacles (branches, rocks, stumps, etc.) Trail surface consists of good natural cover (leaves, pine needles, stone dust) and is free of wet areas Boardwalks and bridges are in good condition PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED - These are problems that will probably require a DPW work crew, specialized equipment, or a volunteer work crew organized by the Trail Committee to address. Fallen tree is blocking trail, or partially fallen tree is hanging over trail. Bridge/boardwalk needs repair. Trail surface is eroding. Trail surface is too wet. No sign at entrance, and/or rules or maps not posted. Blazing is absent or confusing. "You are here" maps are needed at junctions to help hikers find their way. _ Poison Ivy or similar problematic plants are too close to trail. Invasive species are present (buckthorn, multi-flora rose, garlic mustard, Japanese bittersweet, Japanese knotweed, mile-a-minute vine, etc.) Vandalism has occurred (fires, paintball, ATV tracks, alcohol containers, tree cutting, shelter building, graffiti, etc.). Other problems. Please describe location of problem as accurately as possible (a sketch map might be helpful), and describe or explain the condition that needs attention. Use back if . necessary.
