• Saturday Bare Meadow Work Day
a. Review Volunteer Status - ideal # would be 16 volunteer
b. Rental of Generator and impact hammer & nail gun/compressor
c. Plan to set piers and start framing boardwalks
• Adopter/Kick-off - We are going to hold off due trail workload.
We revisit for June
• Family Day - 1 1-3pm
o Susan will be at the booth all day
o Set up @ 10:00
• Additional Bare Meadow Needs
o Fran suggested purchasing for three kiosk for Bare Meadow
o Joan suggested planting for meadow to combat the erosion

1. Motion to adopt minutes of last meeting. Motion passed. o r
2. Ed Crowley is to adopt Thelin Bird Sanctuary trail. >

3. John Parsons attended the DCR training in the town of Ashfield. He indicated was
mainly attended by hikers and dog-walkers in that area. it was a very helpful workshop with
some great information on trail maintenance, which he supplied to the committee. The signage
this area of trails utilizes is impressive.
4. Mark spoke about "NEMBA" (mountain bike usage) on our trails. Discussed possibility
of having brochures. He will try to implement some kind of brochure.
5. Fran informed group of balance of funds left in grant and the need to finish the fund by
the end of June. Possible uses will be kiosks, purchased already made. Possible sites: Mattera
(Bare Meadow - large sign there); Haverhill Street. Wood End Cemetery.
6. Discussed finishing step-up to ramp. Also blazes on the trails.
7. Next work day, which is Saturday, June 6. Materials needed were listed such as:
jackhammers, generators, tools. That work day to begin at 8:00 a.m.
8. Adopt-A-Trail training that was on for June 15, at Senior Center, has been postponed until
September 15. Susan will cancel room and secure room in future. Fran will draft a letter to all
adopters. The committee can follow up with phone calls.
9. Peter Hechenbleikner dropped into the meeting and was informed of the details of the
current boardwalk building project. He will try to attend on Saturday and offer some
assistance.
10. Friends and Family Day - Alan supplying tent; Mark offering to make additional color
trail copies; Joan and Susan will set up and staff table.
11. New Business: Mark spoke about Cranberry Dam Trail. Some boards are rotten and
need repair. He may take care of some of them.
12. Motion to adjourn meeting at 9:05 p.m. Motion then seconded.
