The meeting was called to order at 7:10 o'clock by the Chairman.
The records of the meeting; of 1bovenber 22nd were read and approved.
The following requests were presented for transfers fro.r, the Reserve
Fund to
Board of Assessors Expenses 25®00
Collector of Taxes Expenses 45®00
Police Dept. Maint. on account of Traffic Signals 755.00
Snowy K„ ice Account 700.00
Chairman lv orton of the Board of Selectmen appeared in reg and to
Police Department b,Iaintenance item and explaining that the cost of the
signal system repairs was 9u3.19, of which the l olice Department appro.
pria_tion unexpended balance could take care of about w>225.00 and a transfer
of 755.00 was requested from the Reserve Fund.
In executive session the follow Ing votes were passed:
VOTED to authorize the transfer of 45.00 frori-~eserve Fund to
Collector's Expense Account.
The request from the Board of Assessors was considered not in proper
form as it was signed by the Clerk instead of the Chairman of the Board.
It was voted however, to authorize the transfer of a~~25®00 provided a letter
was procured from the Board of Assessors in proper form.
It was voted to transfer +,700.00 from the Reserve Fund to Snowy & Ice
Account.
The matter of the transfer for traffic signal, repairs was discussed
at some length and more especially the item of ".'Tr6-0.00 for personal services
fo Charles A. Gaughan. It was the concensus of opinion that this Item
should not be included and it was voted to authorize the transfer of 675.00
instead of < 755.00 requested.
It was voted to re-consider the previous vote of Snow & Ice Account
and to authorize the transfer of X780.00®
The Special Committee on Welfare and 6' .P.A, Expenditures reported
progress in the study to which they were assigned.
It was voted to hold the regular meetings on the 1941 budgets on Friday
evenings, the first meeting date to be decided by the Chairman.
