Killam appeared for the Retirement on article 3 and Article 4, s tats g that an estimate had been received from the insurance Department Of 07,000-00 for one half year. He explained some o the workings of the Retirement System. The Municipal Light Board, Chm. john.son, Evens, EIlenwood and Supt. Sias, appeared on Article 7- Air. jonnson explained that his article was placed in the warrant to legalize the appropriation and expenditure of rent receipts. Mr. Carl W. Good. idge of the Board of Selectmen presented Article 2, stating that the :Beard was of the same mind regarding the Fire Truck. Voted - to recommend 457,000.00 for article 3. Voted - to recd mend. article 7, Article A was next considered and it was voted to rescind vote of April 15th regarding investigation of elfare and T. .A. and it was VOTED - To recommend appropriation of 100000 for the purpose of studying the administration, cost of operation., activities and functions of the Welfare and W.-'. Departments, the study to be made and the money to be expended under the supervision of the Finance Committee. It was voted that if the motion under Article 5 was passed by the meeting May ls-t, the Chairman of the Finance Committee be authorized to appoint a committee from the Finance Committee to carry out the vote. Article 2 was next considered, and it eras voted to recommend that 114000.00 be appropriated for a Fire Truck9 ~0 , OQU.0i0 from the tax levy, and bond issue of 09,500,00, Article 6 was next presented,by the Board of Public V'`forks, t, hm. :Davis, Putnam, Brophy, Lindsay, and Supt. Welch. Mr. Davis explained that the laying-out of Lewis Street had been petitioned for and that the cost would be assessed upon property owners. The Board asked for 1107.00. it was voted to recommend 91107.0 for Article 6.
