Minutes from 17 Dec 2003 were reviewed and accepted as presented. This motion was
made by Clay Jones and seconded by Everett Blodgett.
➢ Since our last meeting Virginia Adams was appointed to the committee by the Selectman
and Jess Brailer submitted his resignation. Clay suggested we find a new member from
the Proposed Historic District. The group discussed recruiting other members and
reviewed a list of potential candidates from an attendance sheet at our first public
meeting. Contacts will be made prior to the next meeting.
reviewed steps remaining for this committee.
o Write significance of each property over 70 years old. Determine if this can be done
by the group or if a consultant should be hired. Virginia felt confident creating broad
descriptions and suggested possibly using an expert to review. Clay noted that we
need enough information for town meeting and it would be more professional with
expert details. Virginia questioned if there was enough time. Everett questioned how
this would be financed without a budget.
o Proposed by law and Guidelines would be needed for Sept meeting. This has been
reviewed by the board; Clay will submit the completed versions for all members to
review.
o Preliminary Study Report must be completed. Group reviewed requirements.
Virginia will check with Town Manager as to what the exact date the Fall warrant
closes. Virginia, Everett and Sharlene will work on Study Report to be ready by mid
August.
➢ Next meeting scheduled for 12 August 2004 at 7 pm in the Town Hall conference room
A Adjourned at 8:45 pm
