The records of the last meeting were read and approved, This meeting was called, primarily to hear the report of the Drainage Committee, but as the full committee was not present at the time of the opening the !3oa.? of Public Works were given a hearingp Chairs^a.:n. Davis and Supt. Welch. !`fir. Davis requested a transfer from the Reserve Fund to the l=urk Department appropriation of 1170.00 to cover part, of the cost of a new pourer lawn mower, which purchase he stated was imperative as the old mower was almost beyond repair. He stated that in making up the budget for 1939 it was expected that, the old mower would last out the season so that no provision was made for replacement. The Drainage Committee was then heard. `?'hose present were Chairman Wendell P. Davis, Carl W. Uoodridge, Harold W. Putnam, Philip R. White, Arthur Coolidge, George at^ni, dward A. Brophy, Frederick Laidlaw, and Samuel H. Davis. Mr. Samuel Davis spoke for the Committee o'.;tll_ning what had been done to date, such as a preliminary survey and the employment of Whitman and toward, Engineers. He stated that the most feasible plan for drainage relief was estimated to cost 0100.000.00 an that there was a possibility of obtaining federal funds for labor.
