There were about twenty citizens ;resent. The Clerk read. ,he call for
the meeting as published in the Chronicle. The Chairman announced that
the meeting was open for any citizens to be heard on any matters involving
the financial interests of the torn.

Article 27 of the warrant, Municipal Garage, was next considered
and i'zr. Fowler n .resseG his unfavorable opinion of the land which it was
proposed to purchase on Joan Street, stating that in his opinion other
land could be obtained which would be more suitable for the purpose.
Others also spore and expressed some doubt as to the desirability of the
location. There was no objection to he building or buying of mune c ~.pa

garage as all seemed to feel that a garage was necessary to house the
town motor apparatus and equipment.
The next discussion was relative to read building and opinion was
expressed by Mr. Xavier that other streets should receive attention before
the work was done on Woburn :Street. Mr. Welch of the Board of Public Works
explained that Chapter 90 work had to be done on streets acceptable to the
State and County or their share of the expense would not be provided. Mr.
Snow criticized the entire plan of the Board of Public Works red arr..'_ing
street repairs and construction; expressing the opinion that the Board had
no comprehensive plan for vpe A cement.

action was taken to reconsider the vote of February l9t h which was "Do not
recommend". It was voted to reconsider the previous vote on traffic
signals and to recommend as follows: "Such appropriation as in the opinion
of the Board of Selectmen is necessary not exceeding, 84,500.00.
