Ward, 33 Temple St Sharlene Reynolds Santo (SRS) Elaine & Doug Webb, 309 Pearl St. Peter Hechenbleikner (PH) Brian Kimerer, 66 John Carver Rd Tom Loughlin, Oak St • Members of Commission introduced. Residents were asked to sign in and were given a copy of the inventory sheet for their property. KG summarized the expansion project. • VA moved that each of the one-hundred-one properties recently added to the. Historical and Architectural Inventory of Reading, Massachusetts, and listed on the notice of this meeting sent to Owners before September 12, 2010 be defined as a Potentially Significant Structure under Section 5.13 of the General Bylaws of the Town of Reading. RS seconded. VA moved to amend the motion by excluding 66 John Carver Road from the list of Potentially Significant Structures as it was demolished in August, just days prior to being added to the Inventory.. Seconded by RS. 5- 0. VA moved to further amend the motion by temporarily excluding the following properties: 287 Ash St., 145 High St., 494-496 Main St., 12 Manning St., 81 Mineral St. and 92 Prescott St. from the list of Potentially Significant Structures, as these property owners did not receive timely notice of this meeting according to the Bylaw. Seconded by AB. 5-0.. These properties have since received notices and will be voted under the Bylaw at the November 9th meeting. • Residents were asked for their input. Elaine Webb questioned how homes were assessed. VA mentioned that assessments were done from the street side. RHC can only assess interior of properties if invited in. Mr. Lundquist voiced his opposition to his property being added to the inventory. Emile Hamway also voiced his concern about the lack of choice. Mr. Webb, although he was glad that his home was added, objected to the process. It was asked if in the future the bylaw could be revised to give homeowners the option to choose. Emile Hamway suggested changing the process to solicit homeowners who would like to be added as opposed to deciding then notifying homeowners. • There was no further discussion to remove properties from the list of Potentially Significant Structures. The vote on the main motion was taken and approved 5-0. • Reviewed what is needed for Monday's event at RPL. RHC has the room reserved at 6 pm. Sign in table place for refreshments, info table. • VA moved to reimburse AB for printing of certificates for the sum of $17.86. RS seconded. 5-0 • Each member will donate some food or beverage as refreshments for the ceremony, and should be there to setup about 6:15 pm. • MC will put photos with addresses into PowerPoint • AB will print out certificates with names and dates for KG to sign. • RS and VA will print out inventory sheets for the event at the Library • 320 Haverhill St. site visit still needed within the next month. RHC discussed having a professional come along to give further insight.
