SEPTEMBER 7, 2010
MEETING WAS CALLED TO ORDER AT 7:00 P.M.
IN ATTENDANCE
MR FRED A. MCGRANE, MR RALPH A. COLORUSSO, MR ROBERT I.`
NORDSTRAND AND MR WILLIAM BOATWRIGHT.

1. APPOINTMENTS WERE NONE.
2. MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING/S
AUGUST 31, 2010 APPROVED 2-0 AS READ W/ MR
NORDSTRAND ABSTAINING
3. TOWN APPRAISER'S REPORT
MR BOATWRIGHT BRIEFED THE BOARD ON LAST WEEKS
DISCUSSION REGARDING THE JOHNSON WOODS POSSIBLE
REVALUATION. MR BOATWRIGHT SUBSTANTIATED THE
POSSIBLE REASSESSMENT BY NOTING THAT THE 2010
TOTAL ASSESSED VALUE OF THE JOHNSON WOODS
DEVELOPMENT WAS $43,332,700. THE PROPOSED
REASSESSMENT ESTIMATES THE NEW ASSESSED VALUE
WOULD BE $43,962,682. HE FURTHER NOTED THAT THE
TOTAL ORIGINAL SQUARE FOOTAGE FOR THE
DEVELOPMENT WAS 196,000 SQ. FT. AND THE CURRENT
SQUARE FOOTAGE IS 203,000.
TOTAL NEW GROWTH FOR 2011 IS ANTICIPATED TO BE
SIMILAR TO THAT OF THE PREVIOUS YEAR.

3. TOWN APPRAISER'S REPORT CONT.
MR COLORUSSO COMMENTED THAT WITH THE PROPOSED
REVALUATIONS "ON DECK", HE EXPRESSED SOME
CONCERN WITH THE BOARD REVIEWING THE OVERLAY
ACCOUNT SO AS TO ENSURE THAT THERE IS SUFFICIENT
FUNDS AVAILABLE.
MR BOATWRIGHT THEN PRESENTED THE BOARD WITH A
SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF STATISTICAL DATA REGARDING
THE 130 COMMERCIAL PARCELS WITHIN THE TOWN. A
DETAILED REVIEW OF THE DATA REVEALED A GOOD
AMOUNT OF HISTORICAL INFORMATION REGARDING COST
DATA WHICH SHOULD SUBSTANTIATE THE NEW 2011
ASSESSED VALUES.
MR BOATWRIGHT DISTRIBUTED A LIST OF MULTI-FAMILY
PROPERTIES AND THE PROPOSED ASSESSED VALUES
WHICH WERE DETERMINED BY EMPLOYING A NUMBER OF
VARIABLES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE LAND
VALUES AND THE INCOME GENERATED FOR THE VARIOUS
PROPERTIES.
MR BOATWRIGHT DISTRIBUTED A LIST OF SINGLE FAMILY
HOMES WHICH SOLD DURING 2009.
