Present: Mary Andreola, Virginia Bizzarro, Lois Bond, Gladys
Cail, Dorothy Foxon, Loretta Spaulding
Absent: Frank Day, Diane Guilfoyle, Ginny Lane, Linda Nordberg
Meeting was called to order at 5:40 P.M. by Gladys Cail in the
Arnold Berger Room, 16 Lowell Street.
Minutes of the February meeting were accepted on a motion by Vir-
ginia Bizzarro and seconded by Loretta Spaulding. 5-0-0
Financial Report
The Financial Report was accepted. One of the benefactors may
not be able to continue contributing to the Shopping Assistance
program thereby putting the program in greater jeopardy.
Director's Report
The Director's Report was accepted.
Consumer Assistance Program starts next Monday with four (4) Mon-
day training sessions - the ability to handle detailed informa-
tion and to be a good listener are the needed qualifications.
Lois would like two (2) people trained for this program.
Old Business
Van Report - bid was set at $26,000 delivered to include all
modifications. It was moved by Dorothy Foxon and seconded by
Mary Andreola that Council on Aging be put on the State bid for
the van by March 31.
Fund Amount to Date - $4245 in addition to previous donations.

New Business
Lois has sent thank you notes to van fund donors - to send a
second thank you from individual COA members was decided to be
redundant.
Trust Fund - an article will be on the Town Meeting warrant
regarding the $10,000 donation from Avis Schroeder; the interest
from the trust to be used in the outreach program with Reading
seniors.
Nominating Committee will be Mary Andreola, Virginia Bizzarro and
Loretta Spaulding to nominate new members for June. Virginia
Bizzarro and Loretta Spaulding have indicated that they will con-
tinue to serve on Council on Aging after their term expires this
June.
Meeting was adjourned at 6:50 P.M.
