Act Study Committee Minutes for Meeting of October 3, 2001 D 'LERK SASS. 2001 OC T E q 10; 15 Committee Members Present: Chair Paul Dustin, Dick Howard, Kim Honetschlager, Patricia Lloyd, Tim Kelley, Rick Schubert and Virginia Adams. Meeting was called to order by Mr. Dustin at 7:35 p.m. It was noted that the Board of Selectmen voted on September 25th to place an article concerning the adoption of the CPA on the fall town meeting warrant. Review of Draft Report III The committee reviewed each page of the document and offered minor changes or corrections which were noted by Ms. Honetschlager. There were no substansive changes. The completed report will be included in the town warrant report for the subsequent town meeting scheduled for November. Discussion Regarding Town Meeting Approach A memo from the town manager dated Oct. 3rd regarding information distribution and its parameters was distributed. Mr. Dustin reported after meeting with the town manager that additional questions should be directed through the town manager's office for town counsel. Ms. Lloyd offered to proceed with organizing a forum for town meeting members and the public after determining if it is appropriate. Mr. Schubert distributed an outline on State initiatives towards achieving affordable housing goals. Mr. Howard circulated a chart showing revenue and spending amounts relative to the recommended exemptions. Mr. Dustin advised that the town meeting presentation consist of the chair and probably two others with members available to answer specific questions. The length of the report might influence the number of presenters. The next Committee meeting was set for October 18th. Motion to adjourn made by Mr. Howard and seconded by Mr. Schubert Voted 7-0.
