Call to Order
With a quorum of the committee members present, the meeting was called to order at 7:40 PM in the
main conference room of the Reading Municipal Light Department, Ash Street, Reading, Mass.
Community Forum
The principal purpose of the meeting was to present a forum for Town Meeting members and the general
public to better understand the purposes and provisions of the Community Preservation Act. Presentations
were given by the following.
Mr. John Hultgren: Community Preservation Initiative, Exec Office of Environmental Affairs
Ms. Elizabeth Adams, Trust for Public Land
Following their presentations, specific questions regarding Reading's participation in the Community
Preservation Act were responded to by Committee members.
Adjournment
With no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 9:00 PM.
No votes were taken at this meeting

Edition of May 19, 2001 was distributed by John Hultgren, and is attached to these minutes.
