Present: Mary Andreola, Virginia Bizzarro, Lois Bond,
Dorothy Foxon, Eva Hakanson, Ginny Lane, Chairperson,
Linda Nordberg, Loretta Spaulding
Absent: Gladys Cail, Frank Day, Diane Guilfoyle
Meeting was called to order at 6:35 P.M. by Ginny Lane in the Ar-
nold Berger Room, 16 Lowell Street.
Minutes of the October meeting were accepted on a motion by Vir-
ginia Bizzarro and seconded by Mary Andreola. 6-0-0
Financial Report
The Financial Report for November was moved by Linda Nordberg and
seconded by Mary Andreola. 7-0-0
On the statistical report for fiscal year 191, Lois pointed out
the monthly comparison of figures for the van. Gas money left for
fiscal 191 is $573.61.
Director's Report
It was moved by Loretta Spaulding and seconded by Eva Hakanson
that the Director's Report be accepted. 7-0-0
- Lois spoke of a few schedule cutbacks for the van as the ap-
propriated amount for gasoline is being used more quickly
than anticipated.
- A thank you note was received from Peter Hechenbleikner for
the Board helping out with the Thanksgiving Dinner

Old Business
The Board suggested that a thank you recognition to van con-
tributors be held at the same time as the April gathering held
for volunteers.
The following new van fees were voted by the Board to become ef-
fective January 1, 1991:
Medical, local shopping/appointments, classes/events $1.00
Redstone/Woburn malls (roundtrip)' 2.00
Burlington Mall (roundtrip) 3.00
North Shore/Liberty Tree Malls (roundtrip) 3.50
Mealsite N/C
Dorothy Foxon, a member of the Ad Hoc School Committee reported
that no further meeting have been scheduled at this time as
original idea for getting together has become non existant.
Dorothy Foxon reported on Elder Service's 192 budget which she
presented to Peter Hechenbleikner.
New Business
On December 4 Lois Bond and Lee Roberts, our Coordinator of
Volunteers-met with the Reading school principals to see where`
volunteers could help out in the schools. Pooling of volunteers
was suggested in the following areas:
1. reading stories to/from children
2. assisting in library
3. clerical/paper shuffling
also -
teaching a mini course
assist a teacher
Other Business
A one year commitment of holding onto the old fire station as a
possible senior center has been made therefore the opportunity of
submitting proposal for a grant will be again available.
It was moved by Dorothy Foxon and seconded by Mary Andreola that
the meeting be adjourned at 8:20 PM.
