HomeMy WebLinkAbout1991-03-11 Council on Aging MinutesCouncil on Aging Board Meeting Arnold Berger Room - 16 Lowell Street March 11, 1991 Present: Mary Andreola, Lois Bond, Gladys Cail, Frank Day, Dorothy Foxon, Eva Hakanson, Ginny Lane-Chairperson, Linda Nordberg, Loretta Spaulding Absent: Virginia Bizzarro, Diane Guilfoyle Meeting was called to order at 6:36 PM by Ginny Lane, in the Ar- nold Berger Conference Room, 16 Lowell Street. Minutes of the February meeting were accepted on a motion by Linda Nordberg and seconded by Gladys Cail. 8-0-0 Financial Report The Financial Report for February was moved by Gladys Cail and seconded by Eva Hakanson to be accepted. 8-0-0 - salary for Coordinator of Volunteers is now coming out of the municipal budget rather than the grant. Director's Report It was moved by Eva Hakanson and seconded by Gladys Cail that the Director's Report for February be accepted. 8-0-0 Old Business - Volunteer Reception will be held from 6:30-8:00 PM on May 15. One of the Board Members suggested that there be a Board of Selectmen "proclamation" as a thank you to those that donated to the van fund. -Sub-Committee to review the old by-laws will consist of Vir- ginia Bizzarro, Gladys Cail, Diane Guilfoyle as well as Chairper- son Ginny Lane. 1 New Business - Mr. Ray of Amway requested to speak to the seniors. This was turned down. - Health Care proxy (replacing living will) - Lois is attending an all day workshop and will report back to Board. - July 10 thru July 13 will be Strawberry Festival at the Reading Carnival. Mary Andreola, Gladys Cail, Eva Hakanson and Ginny Lane will participate. Meeting was adjourned at 7:21 PM which was moved by Dorothy Foxon and seconded by Eva Hakanson.
