Employee Lounge
Irving Stackpole, Eva Hakanson, Ginny Lane, Len Dergay, Dot Foxon
and Lois Bond met to discuss the Pride Stride walk on October
18th.
Assignments:
Lois: call Jessie Mraz at the "Y" to confirm latest details for
dispersing funds. Call Irving to generate next step for
activating calls to the other original six participants in walk.
Dot: call Tom Stohlman - Friends of the Library
Len: call Paul Sweeney - 350th Committee
Ginny: call Chuck Wayne - Friends of the Playground
Irving: call Reading Scholarship Fund
Irving will investigate cutting stencil for use on clapboards.
Discussion ensued about Friends of COA. Communication with
Patrons president is imperative.
Strategies discussed:
1.) Rewrite Elderberries with emphasis on programming in the new
Center.
2.) Mail to all seniors timed with opening of Center.
3.) Mail Elderberries to businesses as resource when employees
need information about elderly relatives.
4.) Chamber of Commerce invited to the new Center.
5.) Annual COA Campaign letter mailed to local businesses in
May.
6.) Ice Cream Sampler June 26 from noon until 3:00, at new
Center with invited ice cream companies. (banner over street?)
7.) Establish holiday/birthday committee for monthly
observances.
8.) Determine cost of furnishing rooms at new Center as
marketing plan. Circulate list to COA.
Next fund raising subcommittee meeting will be Oct. 27, 6:30 in
the Berger Room.
