Present: Mary Andreola, Gladys Cail, Leonard Dergay, Ginny Lane,
Eva Hakanson, Linda Nordberg, Irving Stackpole,
Sal Mele, Lois Bond
Absent: Loretta Spaulding (excused), Dot Foxon (excused)
Guest: Mrs. Dergay
The meeting was called to order at 6:34 p.m. by Chairperson Ir-
ving Stackpole in the Berger Conference Room.
Minutes of the February 8, 1993, meeting were accepted as amended
on a motion by Ginny Lane and seconded by Gladys Cail. 8-0-0
The Financial Report was accepted on a motion by Linda Nordberg
and seconded by Gladys Cail. 8-0-0
The Director's Report was accepted on a motion by Ginny Lane and
seconded by Mary Andreola. 8-0-0
Plans were reviewed for the open House at the Senior Center on
Sunday, March 21, 1993. Linda Nordberg has graciously provided
1 linens, china, coffee and punch serving pieces and trays. Ginny
Lane, Gladys Cail, Eva Hakanson and Irving Stackpole are giving
flowers for the buffet table. A tour script, name tags, room
signs, ribbon cuttings, and accessible coat rack were suggested.
High School students have offered to help. Mary Andreola has
talked with Cedar Glen and Peter Sanborn Place residents, re-
questing baked goods. Irving Stackpole and Lois Bond will make
arrangements for background piano music.
Tamsen Almeida has resigned effective March 11, 1993, and has ac-
cepted a job as discharge planner at New England Memorial Hospi-
tal.
The No Smoking policy was reviewed as presented by the Town
Manager. Effective May lst, there will be no smoking in Town
buildings and vehicles.
Gladys Cail will work with the Patrons on fund raising issues.
The April agenda will include fund raising strategies. Also,
Doris Fantasia will be invited to talk about the MVES Walkathon.
The meeting adjourned at 8:15 p.m. which was moved by Linda
Nordberg and seconded by Eva Hakanson. 8-0-0
