Andreola, Cail, Hakanson, Lane, Mele, Mundjer, Nordberg, Bond
Absent:
Dergay, Foxon, (Trainor came to the meeting and asked to be excused)
The meeting was called to order at 6:35 p.m. by Ginny Lane in the Berger Room.
Minutes of the February 14, 1994, meeting were moved as amended by Gladys Cail and seconded
by Mary Andreola. 6-0-0
Financial Report was moved by Gladys Cail and seconded by Mary Mundjer. 6-0-0
Sal Mele will meet with Bond to review van expenditures.
Director's Report was moved by Eva Hakanson and seconded by Mary Mundjer. 6-0-0
Financial support of the Shopping Assistance program was discussed. Dissemination of
information about the program was encouraged by the Board.
Reported was the presence of COA members at the February 15, Board of Selectmen's meeting
regarding the financial support needed to distribute the Senior Center/activities survey.
The calendar of senior group events to be kept at the office was discussed. The response has not
been good.
Discussed were job definition and compensation in the human services field. Linda Nordberg is
helping with independent survey.
Appreciation will be sent to the High School Student Council and Eric's Greenhouse for the
"Senior Ball" held at the Center. All agreed it was a wonderful event.
Sal Mele reported he had contacted Canton and Stoneham regarding SHARE. It was suggested
he call Bond in Reading!.
