The meeting was called to order at 6:40 p.m. by Chairperson Gladys Cail.
Minutes of the May 8, 1995, meeting were unanimously accepted on a motion by Mary Andreola
and seconded by Oliver Brown. 5-0-0. .
Financial report was reviewed and accepted on a motion by Oliver Brown and seconded by Sal
Mele. 5-0-0
Administrator's report was reviewed and accepted on a motion by Mary Andreola and seconded
by Sal Mele 5-0-0.
Sally Hoyt, the new Chair of the Board of Selectmen, talked about the senior citizen tax/work
program being explored by the Town of Reading. Salient discussion points included income
eligibility, work opportunities within town government, home ownership, age criteria, necessary
skills, advertising methods. Selectman Bruce MacDonald is presenting the idea to the Board of
Selectmen.
Election of officers will be in September.
Meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
