April 1, 1998 Meeting 4
The meeting was convened at 7:08 PM In the Berger Room at Town Hall.
In attendance: Anna Carroll Foulds, Karen Sawyer, Alan Smith, Steve Crook, Dick Stosez, Alan Foulds,
Mary Williams
Business
1. The minutes of the March 41h, 1998 meeting were approved, on a motion by Dick Stosez, and a
second by Karen Sawyer..
2. A general discussion on fundraising resulted in Dick Stosez offering to price bumper stickers.
Mary Williams will look into the price of sweatshirts. Mary also suggested an official poster, an auction,
and a walk-a-thon titled "2kfor 2k" to be held in October by the light of the Harvest moon.
3. Dick will attempt to secure P.O. Box 2000, with P.O. Box 1999 as the back-up.
4. Mary led general discussion on the print media. She will plan articles for both local papers, and
contact the North West Weekly section of the Globe.
5. Karen gave an update on the web page progress, stating that she has contacted Bill Connors, who
is in charge of the town web page http://www.ci.reading. ma. us. She reported that there is room on that
server to accommodate our site. She will have the first two pages up and running in a couple of weeks.
Karen then gave a demonstration of a web site previously developed by Alan, and explained how parts of it
could be used for the final product.
6. The yearly plan was reviewed and a change was made. The in depth discussion of the Ball has
been postponed until June, and the in depth discussion of the Exposition has been postponed until
September.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:54 PM. to May 6, 1998.
