HomeMy WebLinkAbout1980-02-11 Community Planning and Development Commission MinutesCitizens Committee on the proposed new construction of TASC in the Jacob Way complex. This committee requests that a buffer zone for this new construction be required. The secretary will send a letter to the Board of Survey, the. Building Inspector and the Police Safety officer requesting that they review their responsibility in this matter and respond to the Board within the next 10 days. A copy of this letter will be sent to TASC and to Mr. Donald Neary of the West Side Citizens Committee. Upon a motion duly made and seconded the Board voted to adjourn at 9:40 P.M. C\J Respectfully submitted, John Zorabedian, Jr. Record of Activity of February 4, 1980. Mr. B; Mitchel and Mr. a. Zorabedian were in attendance on Monday evening in Room 19, 52. Sanborn Street (the Community Center). Due to a lack of quorum, no regularly scheduled business transpired. Mr. Zorabedian submitted the approved action form to the Personnel Board for approval by that Board. Two residents, Mr. and Mrs. Aram A. Boornazian of 9 Harold Avenue were referred to the Planning Board by the Board of Selectmen. They issued a formal complaint with the Secretary and Mr. Zora- bedian about the operation of.two businesses which are being operated by Mr. Fred Boni at 116 'Tan Norden. Road They allege that these operations are illegal as they drastically affect the character of the neighborhood. A meeting was scheduled with them for Monday, February 11, 1980 at 8:30 P.M. so that they could discuss this matter with the Board. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. in Room 19, 52 Sanborn Street(the Community Center) by Chairman Sturm with B. Mitchel, G. Paynter and E. Childress present. Correspondence Mail was reviewed. A letter from Mass. Historical Commission is to be forwarded to the Reading Historical Committee for their review. The secretary Will type a rou5h drab t of a letter. th.4t will - be sent to the Board of.Selectmen, Building inspector, Police Chief, Fire Chief and Conservation Commission citing any and all charges in violation of any and all Federal, State or Town laws. The Board recessed this meeting at 9:45 P.M. and continued dis- cussion on the listed agenda items. CTPS_- Incinerator Site The Chairman has contacted Selectman O'Brien and arranged a tentatively scheduled meeting with CTPS, "T" representatives and their Board for March 19, 1980. The Secretary will draft a letter to Mr. John. Price, Chairman of the Board of Public - Works noting the date of this meeting. The Chaimrna.presented a testimonial to Gayllis Paynter from the Board in appreciation of her years of service to the Town as a member of the Planning Board. All other business before the Board.was tabled until the next meeting scheduled for February 25, 1980 at 7:30 P.M. Respectfully submitted, I` "Barry J. Drafting of an Article for inclusion on the,Annual Town Meeting warrant which will require that_a buffer strip be required between abutting Residential and industrial and/or Business C Districts Drafting of an Article for inclusion on the,.Annual Town Meeting warrant whichwill prohibit any commercial vehicle with a. maximum gross vehicle weight in excess of.10,000 lbs. from parking in any Residential district; and an Article which will allow only one commercial vehicle with a maximum gross vehicle weight under 10-,000 lbs. to park in any Residential district Work program and Annual Report due to the Selectmen by Monday, March 10, 1980 Schedule for Planning Board .meetings _.for.each Monday in March
