Chairman M. O'Brien convened the meeting at 7:30 P.M with
C. Keller, J. Sturm, G. Paynter and B. Mitchel present.
Correspondence
Incoming mail was reviewed.
Minutes
The minutes of the meeting of January 16, 1979 reviewed and
approved.
Space Study - Community Center Options

'Report on Conversion of the Reading Community Center for
Municipal Office Space', dated November 1978 was reviewed.
The Board hopes to come to a conclusion next week and vote their
choice of plan for the utilization of this space.
Zoning - Public Buildings
Draft of Article to delete line entitled "Public Buildings" in
its entirety from paragraph 4.2.2 of the Zoning By-law reviewed.
Motion made, seconded and voted unanimously to place Article on
Spring Town Meeting Warrant.
Reading Center
Pages 8 through 14 of a draft of the Reading Center Plan Report
was reviewed. Mr. Mayerson will rework certain portions based
on comments of the members for presentation to the Board in
coming weeks.
The Board also reviewed the draft of an Article for Town Meeting
to adopt the Reading Center Plan. This will be further refined
before final submission.
Board will discuss possiblity of Public Meeting on the Reading
Center Plan next week.
FY '80 Budget
A first draft was received and reviewed by the members of the
Board. Several items, including the Planner's salary, need
further consideration. Further study of amounts of hearing
fees is also needed. The subject was deferred until the next
meeting.
Town Meeting Dates
A motion was made and adopted to indicate to the By-law Committee
our desire to retain the November Town Meeting date. A request
for an early copy of the Warrant as voted by Town Meeting will
also be included.

Chairman M. O'Brien called the meeting to order at 7:50 P.M
with G. Paynter and B. Mitchel present.
Correspondence
Incoming mail was reviewed. The Board of Public works will assist
in review and update, after criteria are developed by Conservation
Commission and Planning Board, of Flood Plain and Wetlands
Protection District mapping. Town Counsel billings reviewedand
Chairman will forward comments to the Law Committee. The MBTA
replied affirmatively to their participation in the,proposed
commuter parking study.
Minutes
The minutes of January 23, 1979 reviewed and approved.
Space Study
Vote among the options for the Community Center site was tabled
until Tuesday, February 6th. Joint meetings with other Boards
after vote discussed and tentatively favored. The Board then
adjourned to tour Community Center building.
Reading Center
First draft of report section titled "Illustrative Implementa-
tion measures" reviewed and edited.
Non-conforming Lots
Gail wood presented and discussed second draft of Small Lots
Committee article. Board discussion of_this draft was post-
poned until Tuesday, February 6th.
