Mail reviewed.
Urban Redevelopment Corp. - Cedar Glen - Public Hearing
Hearing on Cedar Glen project held in Community Center Auditorium
at 8:00 PM under provisions of Chapt. 121-A, G.L. Thirteen
citizens were°,present. Presentation for Cedar Glen was made
by Mr. William Roop, Vice President of McNeil Associates.
Question and answer period followed his presentation. Hearing
recorded on tape and was adjourned at 10:15 PM.
Discussion by Board on this subject postponed to Sept. 18,, 1978.

Board approved Schedule of Bills Payable, dated Sept. 7, 1978.
Reading Center
Board reviewed slides illustrating developments and improve-
ments in surrounding and other communities including innovative
retail development. Slide show, intended as part of September 14th
meeting of all Town Boards was well received.
Meeting adjourned at 10:45 PM.

Corres2ondence
Board of Public Works replied to our letter regarding Mandatory

Referral. The Board of Public Works would like to meet with us
concerning this matter in early October 1978.
Receipt of correspondence regarding continuing education was
reported.
Zoning Map Redraft
Informational Hearing on new zoning map was rescheduled for
October 23. A Public Hearing on the same subject was
scheduled for Thursday, November 2nd at 8:00 PM. Planning
Board adjourned to Room 11 at 8:00 PM to meet with Conservation
Commission and discussed the map.
Mandatory Referral
Town Counsel's suggested change in wording from "the Town
Meeting" to "a Town Meeting" accepted.
Nonconforming Lots
Hearing scheduled November 2nd at 7:30 PM.
Personnel
Members advised that a secretary for the Department was hired
effective Sept. 11, 1978 to work a 19 1/2 hour week.
Reading Center
Board reviewed film slide presentation by Bob Mayerson, Town
Planner, to be presented at September 14th Interboard meeting.
Zoning Map Redraft
Board voted to return nonoverlay district boundary line east of
Haverhill Street to its present location, - 250 feet from the
centerline along the whole length of the street.
Meeting adjourned at 10:50 PM.
