Present were Tom Green, Carol Grimm and Richard Davidson, Principal. We initiated the tour because of the $600,000 in renovations requested under Article 12 at the Annual Town Meeting. Richard Davidson gave us a tour of the school. First, we viewed classrooms in the old part of the building. We inspected the tile floors, stained ceilings, worn paint, discolored windows, poor hallway lighting. The gym floor is also in disrepair. In the new part of the building we observed the new classrooms are relatively small especially the fourth grade classes which have 27/28 students. Tom Green questioned the $94,000 in flooring allowance as well as the $64,000 in lighting. We also questioned why the windows in the old sections of the building were not on the list for replacement. The list of renovations will be reviewed by the new Supervisor of Building Maintenance.
