Brenda provided an AGENDA for this meeting with 4 items to be covered as follows:
1. Distribute information to Committee members
A. List of TV Programs requested by the Town
B. Status of Negotations Summary and Timeline
C. Summary of RATV Mission & Objectives for Selectmen
D. Application and Skills Inventory for Access Directors
2. Approve Minutes of 10/28/98 Meeting - Bernie
3. Approve Minutes of 10/21/98 Meeting - Joe
4. Discuss date, location, format and content for open forum to orient
interested people about public access - Bernie & Brenda
Items 2 & 3 were covered first and approved as read by all present.
There will be a meeting on the 10th in the employee lounge to review the delayed contract.
There will be a meeting scheduled on the l 7th for information night, details not finalized yet.
A CATV meeting is scheduled for the 18th in the employee lounge.
The Application form and "Mission and Objectives" for the Reading Access Television as
prepared by Brenda was discussed and approved by all 4 present to be presented to the
Selectmen.
For the information night on the 17th a discussion ensued and four basic points were considered
for presentation as follows:
1. Brief history of cable TV in Reading and why Public Access is desirable.
2. What is Public Access?
3. When - where- and how for Public Access.
4. Opportunities for townspeople to become involved.
This meeting was adjourned at 9:45 PM
