Old Business: 1. Minutes of the November 29, 2000 meeting were approved as written. 2. RCTV Stereo Transmissions: No report. Tabled to next meeting. 3. Handling of service complaint correspondence: Doug Cowell will draft a standard letter. , ~ CEIVED 0VI CLERK READING, MASS. 2001 FEB 23 A 8* 31 4. RCTV question re: digital compression: AT&T is using digital compression on their channel line-up. RCTV will attempt to meet the formula of 70 hours of programming between March 15 and April 26, 2001 in order to qualify for a second channel. Committee believes that the availability of a second channel has always been a part of the contract, not as space available or in place of an existing commercial channel, but as space held in abeyance until conditions are met. Doug Cowell will write a letter to this effect to AT&T with a copy to RCTV and Reading Town Manager. 5. RCTV funding formula: No report. Tabled to next meeting. 6. Intranet issues for RCTV: Karen Hayden has written a request to William Fyfe at AT&T. Committee has requested fury er_clayificatiou of the rule that. New Business No new business was introduced. Next meeting: The next meeting of the Reading CATV Advisory Committee will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2001 at the Town Hall.
