The. meeting was. opened by Doug Cowell at 7:11 PM 201 SrP 21 P 3, 38 Those present were: Doug Cowell (Chair), Cheri Hart, Douglas Cowell, Joe Santangelo Visitors present: None A. Old Business: 1. Minutes ofthe May 24, 2001 meeting were approved as written. 2. Third Channel Activation: Discussed the. e-mail from Robert Travers, AT&T, re: Access. Channel, stating that there are no current plans to move our access channel and stating his understanding of the requirements to activate a third access channel. Phil Rushworth reported at the last meeting that RCTV has provided 70 hours of new programming and needs to inform the Board of Selectmen that the BOS must make a formal request to AT&T to activate the third channel. RCTV will send a letter to. the. CATV Advisory. Committee, requesting support to. send this. request to. the. Board of Selectmen. On April 12, the Committee voted 3-0 to support this request. Nothing has been received from RCTV as of June 28th. B. New Business 1. Reviewed Mass DOT&E CTD rate order: No action required. 2. Complaints of Tom Gardner, Paula Clark and Ken Young: Peter Hechenbleikner referred to. Robert Travers_ at AT&T Broadband. No. action required by Committee. 3. Annual Consumer Complaint Form from AT&T: Committee voted unanimously that they do not believe the Year 2000 data as presented in the report. Report filed for later discussion. 4. AT&T Pricing and Programming Changes letter May 29, 2001: Paragraph bullet #1 was particularly disturbing to. all- the. members. of the. committee. as. we. have. seen no. evidence. that Reading subscribers were clamoring to pay more to receive NESN in the Standard Cable line-up. Filed. 5. AT&T to FCC statement for upgrading their facilities, Annual Report on Social Contract: No action required. Filed. 6. MediaOne. financial report Y200.0: No. action required. Filed. 7, Meeting with AT&T Broadband: Committee unanimously voted that Chair Doug Cowell will contact Peter Hechenbleikner to arrange for an AT&T Broadband public meeting in October. Next meeting: The. next. meeting of the. Reading CAT V Advisory Committee. will, be. held on Thursday, September 20, 2001 in the Berger Room at the Reading Town Hall.
