HomeMy WebLinkAbout1997-11-13 Business Park Advisory Committee MinutesBusiness Park Task Force Meeting November 13, 1997 The meeting was convened at 8:00 p.m. in the Fire Headquarters Meeting Room, second floor, 757 Main Street, Reading, Massachusetts. Present were Dan Ensminger, George Hines, David Nugent, Don Stroeble, Steve Thomas, Peter Hechenbleikner. Because of lack of a quorum minutes were not approved. The special act vacating the easements will be on the Governor's desk within two weeks. The Due Diligence Document is completed. Dan Ensminger asked that a "list of references" be included. The property lines will be shown on the aria] photos. In the schematic plans we will not show a 100 foot buffer. The committee members present went through the RFP in detail. Thomas noted that it is important to stress in the RFP that synchronization of the design with the closure plans is important. Negotiation of the closure cost with a developer may be appropriate. Dan Ensminger asked about including a rating system, but the consensus was that the system as proposed was satisfactory. Dave Nugent recommended advertising in the Wall Street Journal in addition to notifying those who have expressed interest, and in addition to the publication in the State Register. Language noting that the Town will be held harmless from any brokers costs should be included. The RFP for financial services will be out next week. At the end of next week the Notice of Project Change will be submitted. Thomas noted that the costs of the Notice of Project Change will be higher than budget - approximately $10,000. He submitted material to the Town Manager to review. The next meeting will be on the get input relative to the sale.
