Stabilization Funds
Richard Moore and Gail Wood attended the Selectmen's meeting, presentation was made by
Richard Moore. There were four Selectmen present (Camille Anthony absent). The vote was
3-1 to continue with the finalization of the policy. Gail suggested that the Selectmen be
encouraged to hold a hearing. Residents should chose between a stabilization fund or
potentially experience extreme fluctuations in rates. Gail will call Bruce McDonald to
suggest a hearing. Ted noted that is an article being considered for the November Town
Meeting to establish a Stabilization Fund. There is also an article for authorization of dept
for the construction of sanitary sewers in Mill, Short, and Main Streets.
Bedrock Well
In late October or early November there will be a tour of the potential sites of bedrock wells.
The delay in this tour was related to waiting for the establishment of a subcommittee from the
Conservation Commission. It is expected that the members of the Water and Sewer Advisory
Committee, a Conservation Commission Subcommittee, Peter Tassi, Ted McIntire, and
representatives from the D.L. Maher Company will be in attendance at the tour.

On a motion by William Brown, seconded by Randolph Harrison, the minutes were accepted.
Review of Parks/Forestry and Cemetery Division Consolidation
Superintendent Keating reported that he has an evaluation meeting with Director of Public Works Ted
McIntire on his job next week. He would like his probationary period to run for another six months.
This time frame would give him a full year on the job. Superintendent Keating felt he would need this
time to make sure he can do all the aspects of the job which are required. The Trustees felt this was a
good idea.
Wood End Update
Superintendent Keating reported that the drains by conservation land in the rear of the cemetery are
connected, seeding has been done, and roads are in. Land swap between the Conservation Committee
and the School Committee at the rear of the property still must be finalized. We have $50,000.00 left
for next Spring for top surface on roads, landscaping and number posts for grave marking.
