A copy of all members presently serving on the Finance Committee will also be mailed. Salem Street Nursing Home The developer, Mr. R. Pizzoferrato, called the Board to deter- mine the correct procedure for filing a request for a Compre- hensive Permit with the Town. He has received only a request for a variance form from the Board of Appeals and he wishes to initiate action on this project immediately. The Board will contact Mr. Pizzoferrato and tell him to submit this form, as per the Board of Appeals instructions, duly noting that this is a request for a Comprehensive Permit.. South Main Street Ms. E. Childress reported that Precinct 3 members studied the traffic and safety problems on South Main Street approximately 6 to 8 years ago. The area in the vicinity of Summer and Main Street was especially scrutinized and the study then recommended that a traffic light be installed at this intersection. As yet there has been no installation of -a light at this site and:> Ms. Childress will further investigate this matter and report back to the Board at a later date. Planninq Board Meeting Schedule The Board will meet in Room 19, the Community Center, on Monday, January 28, 1980 at 7:30 P.M. The Board members will meet with the Finance Committee on Tuesday, January 29, 1980 at 7:30 P.M. at the Town Hall. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, the Board voted to adjourn at 10:25 P.M. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Sturm at 7:30 P.M. in Room 19, 52 Sanborn Street (the Community.Center) with J. Zorabedian, E. Childress and B. Mitchel present. Mr. Philip Pacino, the new Finance Committee representative to the Planning Board, was also present. 124 Minutes The minutes of the meeting of January 21, 1980 were approved unani- mously as corrected. Financeq The Board discussed the Grade 5, Secretary pay scale for the Planning Board secretary. It was unanimously approved to increase the present hourly wage from $4 to $5 effective February 4, 1980. Presentation to the Finance Committee of the salary schedule for the Secretary was discussed. Presentestimates for salary is in excess of $100 from that requested in the Board's Budget Proposal. The new figure for the salary account is $5612 (from $5512). Ms. Plansky was requested to make the proper corrections to the Budget Request for tomorrow night's Budget Hearing with the Finance Committee as well as a detailed list of Fees Collected and current cost estimates for copying Zoning Maps. A list of the Board and Commissions that received copies of the 36 page Zoning Maps is to also be included. Zoning Maps The correction to the southeast boundary line of the Town Forest was researched by the Secretary with the Board of Assessors and Board of Public Works draftsman. In BPW's recent maps a 42 foot line was omitted. The BPW will make the proper corrections to this map at the earliest possible convenience. Zoning Map changes will be scheduled by the BPW engineer after the Assessor's maps are updated. Ms. Plansky was instructed to contact Ron Winslow from the School Department to try to obtain a typewriter with the proper type for corrections that must be made to the Zoning By-law handbook. Annual Report Mr. Mitchel presented an excellent overview of the Planning Board's accomplishments for the past year. The Secretary will type a draft copy for each member and include it in the week's mailing. MAPC No. Readinq Incentive Grant The Board approved the transmission of a letter from the Reading Planning Board to the North Reading Planning Commission re: the investigation of the increased development in the Concord Street Industrial Park area and the potential adverse impact on the Town of Reading's well fields. Ms. Plansky was instructed to request the North Reading Planning Commission to actively enlist-.the. cooperative efforts of the Town of Wilmington as this is a tri=Town border. Ms. Plansky will call the Wilmington Planning Commission's secretary and ask what the present status of their Board is in this regard.
