The Chairman had met with the Finance Committee at 7:15 P.M. and the salary budget for the Planning Board was unanimously approved in the amount of $4959.00. The total budget approved by the Finance Committee for the Planning Board is $6164.00. Due to a lack of quorum, no official business transpired. Items discussed by Chairman Zorabedian and Barry Mitchel included: - Review of correspondence - Available funding through State and Federal agencies for energy audit and conservation measures - Indefinite postponement of Article 16 on the Special Town Meeting Warrant (parking) The Board members adjourned to Town Meeting at 7:55 P.M. Respectfully submitted, Barry 4 Mitchel Minutes of the Meeting of April 22, 1980. The Planning Board meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM. by Chairman J. Zorabedian in Room 131, Reading Memorial High School with Ellen Childress and Barry Mitchel present. - Article 51 - Ellen. Childress will contact George Ross to discuss the compromise wording which the Board may insert in paragraph B of Article 51. The wording is to read "where required by either the Business C or Residential property owners" and would be inserted after the phrase "along the.full abutting length". - Article 46 - Prospect Street School-Reconsideration Respresentatives from the Recreation Committee will voice their own personal opinions concerning retention of this piece of property. Pertinent passages from their report will be quoted. Also to speak in favor.of this land being retained will be Mr. Richard Coco, School Committee member; Mr. John Pacino, Recreation Committee; and Carol Beckwith, Board of Public Works Recreation Study Committee. Mr. Zorabedian will present the motion for reconsideration of Article 46 and clearly state the Planning Board's position in favor of retaining this piece of land.
