II. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS
The minutes of May 31 and June 7 were approved as read.
III. COMMUNICATIONS
Alan read a number of letters of congratulations and several
letters from the "other Readings" who were unable to attend.
There have been more requests for t-shirts, and Don Welford is
willing to coordinate sales if we will publicize that more
t-shirts will be available.
Ellen reported that logistics for selling souvenir programs on
Reading Day became too difficult and stamped programs were not
sold at the special postal station.
IV. OTHER BUSINESS
On motion of Alan Foulds, seconded by Cathy Quimby, it was voted
to accept Don Welford's offer to coordinate post-celebration
t-shirt sales. Ellen will notify those on the current t-shirt
waiting list that they may send in a pre-paid order.
Shirley reported a current balance of over $50,000, but there are
still a number of outstanding bills. The final police bill for
the ball, parade and Jubileve was approximately double the
estimate. Meadowbrook earned $2,000 for the 350th yesterday. On
motion of Cathy Quimby, seconded by Mary Williams, it was voted
that the 350th Committee would pay the DPW, custodian and waste
management bills.
