Those present. were: Bill Denhard, Sally Hoyt Paul Kelley,
Adrienne McMahon, Chris Vaccaro & Mollie Ziegler.
M. Ziegler moved and B. Denhard 2nded the motion to approved the
minutes of July 26, 1990 as amended by adding under demographics
"to assess the demand in Reading for affordable housing, if it in

M. Ziegler moved and B. Denhard 2nded the motion to elect
Adrienne McMahon Chairman of RHP. Motion carried 5-0-1.
B. Denhard moved and P. Kelley 2nded the motion to elect Mollie
Ziegler Secretary of the RHP. Motion carried 5-0-1.
J. Edwards left draft copies of Master Plan Statistical Analysis
of Demographic & Economic Characteristics.
Some figures from the US Census bureau were discussed. 1987
median income in Reading per household (7,423) was $45,196, of
northeast area of 73 we were 36th in population and 27th in per
household income. In 1980 family median income was 28,160,
household median income was 25,796 and the per capita income was
8,805. The 2985 per capita income was estimated to be 15,253.
A discussion of demographics followed. The demographics
subcommittee has not met yet.
The lottery subcommittee made a report. The definitions of
Reading resident had much discussion. It was decided to use the
figure of 6 years (1/2 of school. grades) instead of 4 years in
the statement "attended Reading Public Schools or lived in
Reading while attending school a minimum of years There are
2 different types of lotteries discussed in'the Amherst report.
Which one do we want to use?
Next meeting will be at Tannerville on Nov. 1z, 1990.
