HomeMy WebLinkAbout1996-12-16 Board of Health MinutesBoard of Health Meeting December 16, 1996 Present were Chairman Jim Nugent, Secretary Cynthia Richards and member Jean Garofoli, as well as Prevention Education Coordinator Jane Fiore and Town Manager Peter Hechenbleikner. The meeting convened at 6:00 p.m. in the Arnold Berger Room, 16 Lowell Street, Reading, Massachusetts. The Town Manager had asked the Board of Health to discuss with Ms. Fiore, as a possible candidate for the Division Head of the Health Division, their interests and public health concerns. The Board had a free range in discussion with Ms. Fiore for approximately one hour. The conclusion of the discussion on motion by Richards seconded by Garofoli the Board voted to recommend to the Town Manager the appointment of Ms. Fiore to the position of Division Head of the Health Division, and recommended a provision that within a specified period of time - 12 to 18 months - that Ms. Fiore should receive her certified health officer certification. On motion by Richards seconded by Garofoli the Board of Health adjourned their meeting at 7:00 p.m. by a vote of 3-0-0. Resp°ctfully submitted, 711 Secretary
