Before the meeting J. Fallon announced the resignation of Recrea-
tion Supervisor Joseph Giordano and the hiring of Leslie Wexler.
Ms Wexler gave a brief description of her background.
A meeting of the Recreation Committee was called to order at 7:40
by the Chairman J. Fallon. Members present were J. Connelly, R.
Fotino, C. Kaminer & M. Williams. Also present were Associate
Members F. Conover, S. Sullivan and Recreation Supervisor J.
Giordano. T. McGrath arrived at 7:55, J. Pacino at 8:23 and C.

by M. Williams. 5-0.
The next order of business was the Sub-Committee report on the
Bandstand presented by Mr. Fotino. He stated there is not enough
time to have plans drawn this year, but if they are started now
it could possibly be completed in the Fall. He will have a
report on the progress in Sept. or Oct.
Mr. Giordano went over the Supervisor's Report in detail includ-
ing updates on the Summer Programs. He stated he had had a call
on the scholarship or fee reduction already. He suggested asking
applicant for permission to call the Principal of the school to
confirm the applicant is receiving reduced lunches. That would
be all the documentation required.
Under Old Business Mr. Giordano stated he had gone over all the
Summer Programs in the Brochure with L. Wexler and G. Butler. He
questioned whether the pool should be opened Memorial Weekend or
wait until school was out, stating that there were sufficient
funds to open it. Many concerns were brought up on whether or
not the pool would be sufficiently utilized during this time, pay
for employees if it rains, maintenance of pool and Tot Time Swim.
Mr. Giordano stated the Recreation would be responsible for main-
tenance until July, also he was not aware of a problem regarding
Tot-Time . He would meet with Tom Darrin on this issue. After
much discussion M. Williams moved to open the pool weekends from
Memorial weekend and daily from June 14, amended June 18.
