FEBRUARY 27,1991
A meeting of the Recreation Committee was called to order at
7:30p.m. by Chairman Fallon . In attendance were C. Kaminer, J
Pacino, F. Conover, T McGrath associate members L. Salter, S.
Sullivan, J. Mullen. M. Williams arrived at 8:30. Also present
were citizens Jim Connor and Jessie Mraz and Recreation Super-
visor L Wexler.
J. Fallon welcomed J. Giordano as a new member. At 7:35 Vice
Chair C. Kaminer read the Public Notice to open the Public Hear-
ing re: fee schedules. Jim Connor and Jessie Mraz representing
the YMCA stated they would like to work out a reasonable fee in-
crease with the Recreation Committee. They felt the increase
from $.50 to $1.00 was too steep. They presented their proposal
of $50.00 a day which would include 2 groups of 40 children using
the pool for 1 hour at a time per group. They also stated they
would provide four staff people to supervise, this includes 1
lifeguard. Many questions followed. The Public Hearing was
closed at 7:58.
The regular recreation meeting continued with discussion on the
fees voted on at the December 1990 meeting. All fees excluding
the Red Sneakers & YMCA pool fees were proposed and seconded as
voted on at the December meeting. unanimous (see attached)
F. Conover made a.motion for Y to pay $.95.

M. Williams arrived at 8:30
J. Pacino made a motion for Y to pay $.80. This was amended to
read the charge be $.80 per child for 2 hour period for Red
Sneakers and Y . 1 in favor 5 opposed
J. Pacino made a motion to separate the Y and Red Sneakers for
voting purposes. passed
F. Conover motioned for $.95 for Red Sneakers . 2 in favor 5 op-
posed
J. Pacino motioned for $1.00 for Red Sneakers . 6 favor 1 opposed
J. Pacino motioned for $.8,,5 fee for Y (saving $900.) 3 in favor
4 opposed
F Conover motioned for $.95 fee for Y
4 favor 3 opposed (passed)
The minutes of the January meeting were approved as amended.

BUSINESS
sub committee on Parks Rules & Regulation was formed with J>
Giordano, C. Kaminer & T. Mullen
C. Kaminer was placed on the Teen Center Committee.
OLD BUSINESS
L. Salter reported on the Annual Reading Tennis Open
The dates suggested were June 22 and 23 with the cost being
$12.00 single, $22. double
J. Giordano made a motion to accept. unanimous.
