Members present: Ed Murphy, Dolores Carroll, George Theophanis, Phil Pacino
and Nils Nordberg
8:00 Chairman Murphy called the meeting to order in Room 16 of the Town Hall
Chairman Murphy read a letter to the committee from Robert Ferrari, a
Town Meeting member from Precinct 5, dealing with the subject of a proposed
car wash and existing zoning bylaws on said proposal. After discussion the
committee agreed that it could advise Mr. Ferrari to petition to have an
article placed on the Town Warrant dealing with the subject. Once on the
warrant the committee could then decide either to support the article or
not. Chairman Murphy state he convey this message to Mr. Ferrari.
The committee then returned to the job of recodification of the By-laws.
In Article 1.1.4 the committee agreed to remove the 3 commas in the paragraph
and put a "nor" in place of an "or".
In Article 1.1.5 the committee added "($300)" after the words "Three Hundred
Dollars".
For inclusion under Article 1.1.7 the committee agreed to add Official
Body. The committee agreed that an official body should be an officer.,
official, committee, commission, board or authority of the town.

Chairman Murphy stated that at the next meeting of the committee on August
17th that Ted Cohen, Town Legal Counsel would be attending. Some of the areas
to be reviewed with Mr. Cohen would be the proposed Regulations bylaws, the
use of =multiple motions and Rule 5 of the present Bylaw article II.
The committee agreed to add a meeting on August 24 to its future schedule.
