Members present: Ed Murphy, George Theophanis, Dolores Carroll and
Phil Pacino
7-.40 Chairman Murphy called the meeting to order in the conference room
of the Library.
The committee reviewed Article 29 of the Fall Town Meeting so as
make sure all the members were agreement with its content and wording.
The committee reviewed Article 30, the proposed bylaw on rules and
regulations. The committee started with the proposed article as reworded
at the last committee meeting. After reading and reviewing it the committee
decided on the following changes:
Section 2 - Removal of the word "such" in the second line, changed in
the seventh line "if there is such newspaper in the Town" to
"if such newspaper exists" and removed the second comma in line 9.
Section 3 - Removal of the word "such" from the 1st line.
Minutes #133 were approved by a vote of 4-0-0
Minutes #134 were approved by a vote of 3-0-1
Minutes #135 were approved by a vote of 4-0-0
The committee then reviewed the Fall Town Meeting articles it will be
making a recommendation on. In general terms it reviewed and discussed
Articles 17, 19, 21 and 24.
After discussion the committee voted on a motion of George Theophanis
and seconded by Phil Pacino to recommend article 34 by a vote of 4-0
