Members present: Phil Pacino, George Theophanis and Dolores Carroll. CPDC member Thomas Stohlman addressed the Committee with CPDC's Master Plan priority list which will be presented at the Sub- sequent Town Meeting and suggested we review the list and make our recommendations. We reviewed a plan showing how the same number of dwelling units are placed in a conventional subdivision and a PRD. The PRD affords more flexibility in that it allows for additional open space, multi family units, recreational facilities, etc.; however, CPDC feels it must be approached carefully since this is a new concept and one that will be very controversial. He explained that the business community has become involved in business zoning and feels this is a favorable move. Another obstacle is the rezoning of Longwood Farms. CPDC would like to see it zoned as a PUD overlay to increase the tax base instead of a low density subdivision. Tom outlined several other Master Plan priorities and concluded by requesting that the Committee contact CPDC'withitheir suggestions as early as possible. Minutes of Meeting #199 were read and accepted by a vote of 40 - 0 . The Committee then reviewed the instructional motion to the FinCom prepared by Jack Russell and recommended that the motion read as in Minutes #198, with the following as the last sentence: "The membership may include others than Finance Committee members." Phil will pass this by Ted Cohen prior to our May 14th meeting so that the motion can be finalized at that time. 8:45 p.m. Meeting adjourned. Respectfully submitted, Dolores S. Carroll
