7:35 p.m. Meeting called to order in the Town Hall Conference
Room.
Members present: Phil Pacino, Jack Russell, George Theophanis,
Ed Murphy and Dolores Carroll.
Minutes #200 were read and accepted, as corrected, by a vote of
3-0-2.
Phil distributed a memo from Ted Cohen's office verifying that
for the purpose of advising on capital improvements, the FinCom
may appoint a subcommittee which does not include members of
the Finance Committee.
Folloiwohg a discussion on the wording of the instructional
motion to the FinCom, the final version reads as follows:
"Move to instruct the Finance Committee to form a Capital
Improvement Subcommittee to report to the Finance Committee
on the Town's Capital Improvement Program and all warrant
articles relating to capital expenditures. The Finance
Committee shall consider the subcommittee's report and shall
make recommendations on all capital matters to Town Meeting.
The Capital Improvement Subcommittee may include nonmembers of
the Finance Committee."
On motion of George Theophanis, seconded by Jack Russell, the
Committee voted to accept the wording of the instructional
motion by a vote of 5-0.
Next meeting to be held on June 3, 1992.
