A meeting o the Zoning ;£?ard o Appeals was 1J.C-ld in the
Selectmen's Meeting Room o he Town Hall, 16 Lowell Street,
Reading, MA at 7:00 P.M.
The first Public Hearing was on the petition of John and Linda
t=abi_~e who were seeking a Variance under' Section 5.1.2, Table
of Dimensional Dimensional Controls, ?adin Zoning '°/~1~_.L F^'se in order to
legalize an ~.t,b existing structure which is tVo cl ose to the side
to t line on property located at 38 Harvard Street, Reading,
MA.

Mr. gab € e stated that he had Sr.7F:1mit'Ced ? mortgage survey plan.
'-irm Ja?"jema explained that the Board could not make a decision
if they did not have an instrument survey.
It was discussed that in 1986 the applicants had come before
'L'.he Boar to seek a Variance for this addition. ~ i z2

granted a Variance for the addition to come within 12 feet of
the Lot lire. E.`,ihen the addition was built it was only 10 feet

recently when they k'`tad applied to refinance the property.
The Board
again state? that they would need a certified plot
plan before going ahead with this application. it was discussed
that he hearing should be continued in order for the applicant
to obtain a Certified Plot Plan.
At 7:29 P.M. Mra pucker moved to continue the subject matte?_
of this hearing until July 2, 1992 at 7.00 P.M. Ms. Scots`
seconded and the motion passed with a vote of 3-0.
The next gearing was on the petition of :David Dillaway who was
seeking a Variance under Section 5.1.2 , Table of Dimensional
Controls, of the Zonis; Div-Laws in order to build an addition
on the property located at 32 Beacon Street, Reading, MA.
Mr. 'tucker read the criteria the applicant would have to meet
in order to get relief from a Variance.
Mr. Dilladray stated that when the two car garage had been
measured that is where it had come. Ms. Scott asked if it was
necessary to have a two car garage.

The Board suggested alternatives such as making the addition

hardship to comply to the By-Law. He felt that the addition
could possibly be smaller.
Mr e j arema explained that the Board could continue the hearing"
so that Mr. Dill away could discuss it with his wife, or he could
withdraw his application without prejudice.
Mr. Dillaway asked for a continuance so that he could discuss
the application with his wife.
At 801 Mr m Tucker moved to continue the subject matter of this
hearing until July 2, 1992 at 7°00 P.M. Ms. Scott seconded
any the notion passed with a vote of 3-0
At 8:10 P.M. a motion was made and seconded to adjourn, and
the Board voted unanimously to coo so.
