The Board discussed the Town's need to take care of the computers in the schools also. T>,total personnel increase is 3.4 percent. Mrs. Marnik said that the E "d should advocate for this budget strongly, but additional support from someone who-is not biased is important. Mr. Diamond made a motion to approve the budget as prepared. The motion passed. The Town Manager's budget guidelines did not asX..for priorities. The Director would make books the first priority, followed by the technology coordinator. Mrs. Silvaggi remarked that NOBLE must be the first priority, since the Library is required to pay that bill to remain a member. In her point of view, if a choice is required, books are the first priority but she would want to see the technology coordinator come out of someone else's budget, rather than be dropped., Mrs. Hanley announced that the holiday concert, hosted by the Friends and featuring the high school chorus, will be held on Friday, December 15 at 4 p.m. The meeting adjourned at 6a5-0 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Diane J. o nng Assistant Di2
